From methodology and assessments to results and implementation, find clear answers across the key areas that define AI adoption success.
Adoptex™ is a patent-pending, methodology for measuring how effectively your organization is adopting AI in real operations, not just in pilots or proofs of concept. It converts a concise set of executive and technical responses into a numeric maturity score, broken down by function. By comparing scores across categories, Adoptex™ highlights “where to double down” versus “where to fix basics,” and translates those gaps into quantified upside.
Many ISPs know they should “do something with AI” but lack a clear, objective way to assess their starting point, prioritize use cases, and sequence investments. Adoptex™ was created to give leadership teams a structured, ISP specific way to answer four questions: Where are we today? Where should we focus first? What will it take to move forward with confidence? As an organization are we aligned and ready?
Adoptex™ is designed primarily for regional and Tier3/Tier-2 broadband ISPs, but the framework is applicable to similar service providers. Typical participants include CEOs, COOs, CFOs, CTOs, Technical Managers, and functional leaders in network operations, customer care, field operations, marketing, and analytics.
Generic AI checklists tend to be highlevel, expensive, slow and technologycentric. Adoptex™ is affordable, quick, and built specifically for ISPs and is operationally focused. It concentrates on multiple operational categories that drive revenue, cost, and customer experience, and applies a patentpending scoring and interpretation framework tailored to how ISPs actually run their businesses.
Adoptex™ provides three structured assessments and one derived analysis:
• AI Readiness Assessment – measures organizational readiness to pursue AI initiatives.
• AI Adoption Assessment – measures how deeply AI is already embedded and the knowledge base in daily operations.
• AI Comprehensive Assessment – a deeper dive into people, process, technology, and culture.
• AI Alignment Analysis – compares multiple leaders’ responses to reveal where leadership is aligned or misaligned.
The Readiness and Adoption assessments are designed to be completed in about 15–20 minutes each by a knowledgeable leader. The Comprehensive and Alignment assessments usually takes 45–60 minutes, depending on how much context the respondent chooses to provide.
Both are covered, but always in service of business outcomes. Questions explore infrastructure and data, but also executive commitment, budget, skills, change appetite, governance, and strategic clarity. The goal is to understand what is realistically possible in your organization, not just what is technically imaginable.
Responses are mapped into a structured model that distinguishes between:
• Questions that quantify readiness and adoption.
• Diagnostic questions that clarify priorities, current state, objectives, barriers, and context.
The patentpending methodology then calculates indices and tiers for readiness, adoption, and alignment. It then organizes the narrative so you can see both the results and what they actually mean to you.
What kind of output should we expect from an assessment?
ou receive a structured Report 1: Current State that can include:
• An overall readiness or adoption view for your organization.
• Categorylevel scores across the multiple operational areas.
• A clear readiness or adoption level
• Qualitative explanations of the results and what they imply for AI programs.
The strategic Report 2: Next Steps Pathway which provides specific, custom and actionable potential initiatives, sequencing, schedules, timelines and dependencies.
At a conceptual level, Adoptex™ is fully transparent: the report explains what is being measured and how different dimensions contribute to the overall picture. The detailed formulas, weights, and calibration logic remain part of Adoptex’s™ proprietary, patent pending methodology, but you always see how your input translates into business oriented conclusions.
The Readiness Assessment measures whether your organization has the foundation to pursue AI effectively. It looks at infrastructure, data accessibility, executive commitment, budget, skills, change appetite, governance, timelines, and strategic clarity. The output helps you understand whether you should focus on preparation, pilot programs, or broader transformation.
The Adoption Assessment is focused on how AI is already being used across your operations. It assesses current AI usage across multiple categories, the level of integration in business processes, and the observed impact on performance. It is especially useful for organizations that have started experimenting with AI and want a holistic view of what is and isn’t working and where to go next.
The Comprehensive Assessment employs a deep dive survey that expands beyond readiness and adoption to examine people, process, technology, and culture in detail. It is typically used when leadership or the board needs granularity and a more complete picture of AI transformation across the entire organization.
The Alignment Analysis evaluates multiple assessments within the same organization. By comparing different inputs, it reveals where the organization is closely aligned and where perceptions diverge. Misalignment is one of the most common reasons AI initiatives stall or fail; the Alignment view makes issues visible and actionable.
As a research organization, Adoptex™ uses many different tools, including AI. This AI assistance is guided by the Adoptex™ patentpending framework and templates to ensure that the output stays grounded in facts and ISP realities...
Adoptex™ does not use identifiable customer data to train public AI systems. Assessment data is used to generate your reports and, in anonymized and aggregated form, to continuously improve the Adoptex™ methodology and benchmarking over time.
At least one senior leader who understands both operations and strategy should complete each assessment. Many organizations also invite leaders from specific functions—such as network operations, customer care, or marketing—to complete their own assessments, especially when preparing for an Alignment analysis or a more comprehensive planning exercise.
Yes and doing so is often beneficial. When multiple people complete the same Readiness or Adoption survey independently, we can identify where perceptions are consistent and where they diverge.
That difference is important information. Our methodology is designed to surface divergent perceptions, not smooth them over. Where there are major gaps the Alignment analysis highlights those areas and explains why they may hinder AI progress if not addressed.
You will receive access through the Adoptex™ website. Once registered, you can sign in to a secure area and launch the relevant assessments, The experience is designed to be straightforward enough for even busy executives to complete in a single sitting.
Once your responses are processed, you receive access to a structured report that can be viewed through the Adoptex™ site. Depending on the engagement, this may be a primarily diagnostic readout or a deeper, forward-looking document that outlines potential initiatives and a high-level roadmap.
How often should we involve Adoptex™ in reassessing our progress?
That depends on the pace and scale of your AI efforts. Repeating the assessment and measuring progress on a regular basis such as every 60 days, or quarterly as well as after major phases of work will help to optimize your ongoing projects.
Adoptex™ is a specialized assessment and advisory solution heavily customized for Internet Service Providers that measures AI readiness, adoption and/or alignment across key operational areas using a patentpending methodology.
Adoptex™ is designed for broadband ISPs—especially regional and Tier3/Tier-2 providers—and is typically used by CEOs, COOs, CTOs, and functional leaders in operations, network, customer care, marketing, and analytics.
The Readiness and Adoption assessments take about 15–20 minutes each.
What do we get back from the assessment?
You receive a structured report showing your overall AI readiness, adoption or alignment level, categorybycategory results, and clear narrative explanations of what those results mean for your organization and its AI ambitions.
Does Adoptex™ only diagnose, or does it recommend next steps?
The core assessments provide a detailed current state view. Deeper report tiers and options can extend that into a view of potential initiatives and roadmap guidance, all grounded in the same patent pending framework.
Adoptex™ uses modern AI techniques behind the scenes to help interpret survey data and draft report narratives, guided by the Adoptex™ methodology. For highervalue reports, an experienced consultant reviews and refines the AIassisted output before it is shared with you.
Most organizations repeat the assessment periodically—such as every 60 days or quarterly as well or at major milestones—to measure progress, track movement across readiness or adoption levels, and refine their AI roadmap.
