Remote Access Audiology Our Home-Based Hearing Care Solution

The events of 2020 motivated people of all ages across Texas to learn how to make video calls to friends and loved ones so they could remain connected outside their homes and communities.

Though pandemic restrictions are what brought telemedicine, tele-audiology, and remote access audiology to the forefront, it is our way of extending our capacity to provide professional audiological care to patients who are unable to attend an in-office appointment for any number of reasons.

Regardless of why you need home-based hearing care, Hear in Texas is able to connect you with your audiologist using your smartphone, laptop, or PC and tele-conferencing technology for a face-to-face virtual consultation.

How Does A Remote Access Appointment Work?

Unlike many other health sectors, licensed audiologists have generally asked our patients to come to clinics for guidance and treatment, but tele-audiology has transformed our way of thinking.

With your smartphone, computer, laptop, or tablet, you can have a face-to-face consultation with Dr. Sally without physical contact, which might be necessary due to illness, travel, scheduling conflicts, or because you’re out of town on business or on vacation and need our help.

Our Remote Access Appointments Allow You To Receive:

  • Counseling and support while you’re getting used to your new hearing aids

  • Enhanced troubleshooting advice while you’re on vacation or on a business trip

  • Requesting programming changes for your hearing aids using a smartphone app

  • Providing a less intimidating environment for individuals new to hearing care

  • Many more ways to overcome the challenges of an in-office appointment
