More morning energy, stronger lifts, better sleep, higher libido, measurable wins you feel in weeks, sustained for the long game.
Testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) is a medically supervised treatment that restores testosterone levels in men whose bodies are no longer producing adequate amounts. Low testosterone — clinically defined as total testosterone below 300 ng/dL, or suboptimal free testosterone relative to symptoms — is associated with fatigue, reduced libido, loss of lean muscle, increased body fat, brain fog, mood instability, and poor sleep.
TRT works by supplementing the body's natural testosterone production using clinician-prescribed testosterone delivered via intramuscular injection, subcutaneous injection, transdermal cream, or oral capsule. Protocols are individualized based on baseline lab values, symptom burden, lifestyle, and patient preference. At Steel City, all care is managed via telehealth by board-certified nurse practitioners — labs through Quest Diagnostics or Rupa Health, medications compounded and shipped directly to your door.
Take the short 8-question quiz to find out!
Testosterone plays a direct role in mitochondrial function and red blood cell production. Men with low T frequently report chronic fatigue that doesn't resolve with sleep. Most patients notice meaningful energy improvement within 2–4 weeks of reaching therapeutic testosterone levels.
Testosterone is the primary hormonal driver of male sex drive. Libido typically begins improving within 3–6 weeks. Erectile quality improvement follows as both testosterone and estradiol levels stabilize, usually within 6–10 weeks.
Testosterone is anabolic — it drives muscle protein synthesis and opposes fat storage. Men on optimized TRT with consistent resistance training and adequate protein intake typically see body composition changes beginning at 8–12 weeks, with continued improvement over 6–12 months.
Cognitive symptoms including brain fog, poor concentration, and low motivation are directly associated with suboptimal testosterone. These symptoms frequently resolve within 4–8 weeks of reaching optimal levels.
Low testosterone is associated with irritability, low drive, and depressive symptoms. Mood improvements are among the most commonly reported outcomes within the first 4–6 weeks of treatment.
Individual results vary based on baseline labs, protocol adherence, lifestyle, and overall health status.
Your lab work is completed before your consultation. Depending on which initiation track you select, labs may be ordered through Quest Diagnostics, Labcorp, or Rupa Health, or you may bring recent labs you already have on file — provided they meet our marker requirements and recency standards. Full panel requirements are reviewed during intake.
A one-on-one video appointment with Jeremiah Velasquez, FNP-BC, AGACNP-BC. Labs are reviewed in full, symptoms are assessed, medical history is evaluated, and a treatment plan is discussed. Three initiation tracks are available depending on your starting point:
Vitality Snapshot ($99) — Basic hormone panel + 20-minute results review. Best for men who want a low-barrier entry point before committing to full optimization.
Precision Wellness Consult ($150) — Consult only. Bring labs you already have (must meet our marker requirements and recency standards).
Biological Blueprint ($499) — Comprehensive 18-marker panel + 60-minute deep-dive consultation. Best for men who want the full clinical picture from day one.
No prescription is guaranteed — clinical appropriateness is determined at every visit.
If TRT is clinically appropriate, a protocol is prescribed based on your labs, symptoms, and lifestyle. Delivery options include weekly or twice-weekly intramuscular injections, subcutaneous injections, transdermal testosterone cream, or oral testosterone (Kyzatrex). Supportive medications such as hCG or anastrozole are prescribed when clinically indicated.
Prescriptions are sent to a licensed compounding pharmacy. Standard injectable testosterone ships within 5–7 business days. Compounded creams typically ship within 24–48 hours for patients in Colorado. Shipping times to other licensed states may vary. All medications are shipped discreetly to your home.
Follow-up labs at weeks 6 and 12, then quarterly. Protocol adjustments are based on lab trends and symptom response. All provider communication between visits is through Spruce Health's secure messaging, which is included with an active membership.
Steel City operates on a transparent, cash-pay model. No insurance billing. No surprise fees.

Steel City TRT is managed by board-certified nurse practitioners specializing in hormone optimization and metabolic health — each holding active prescriptive authority in their licensed states. The clinic was founded by Jeremiah Velasquez, FNP-BC, AGACNP-BC on a simple standard: real clinical depth, direct provider access, and protocols built on labs — not convenience.
No corporate medical directors. No chatbots answering clinical questions. Every patient has direct access to their provider — no handoffs, no corporate layers, no middlemen.

Am I a candidate for TRT?
You may be a candidate if you are experiencing symptoms of low testosterone — including fatigue, low libido, brain fog, decreased muscle mass, increased body fat, or mood changes — and your labs confirm low or suboptimal levels. Clinically, low testosterone is defined as total testosterone below 300 ng/dL, though suboptimal free testosterone can warrant treatment even when total T falls within range. Candidacy is determined after a comprehensive baseline lab panel and a one-on-one telehealth consultation with a Steel City provider. No prescription is issued without a clinical evaluation.
How fast do you respond after I apply?
We typically reply same business day (often within a few hours) to schedule your consult and labs.
How soon could I feel a difference?
Many men notice changes in 2–4 weeks (energy, mood, morning wood). Body composition and performance typically improve over 8–12+ weeks with consistent dosing, training, sleep, and nutrition.
Is TRT safe long term?
For appropriate candidates who are properly monitored, TRT can be safe and effective long term. Safety monitoring at Steel City includes regular tracking of total testosterone, free testosterone, estradiol, hematocrit, and PSA — with dose adjustments made proactively before clinical issues develop. TRT is not initiated in men with a cardiovascular event within the prior six months, active prostate cancer, or hematocrit above 56%. If you fall outside these parameters, your provider will discuss alternative approaches at your consultation.
Will TRT cause hair loss or prostate cancer?
Hair loss risk is driven primarily by genetic predisposition to DHT sensitivity — TRT can accelerate it in men who are already predisposed, but does not cause it in men who aren't. If hair preservation is a priority, this is discussed at your consultation and management options are available. Prostate cancer risk has not been shown to increase with properly monitored TRT in men without pre-existing prostate pathology. PSA is measured at baseline and monitored quarterly so any changes are caught early and addressed directly.
Will my testicles shrink? Can I stay fertile?
External testosterone can reduce natural production and shrink testicular volume; it’s often manageable. If fertility matters, we can discuss protocols (e.g., hCG support) or alternatives to maintain sperm production.
Shots or creams—what’s better?
Both work. Injections offer steady levels with low maintenance; creams avoid needles and allow daily flexibility. We choose based on your lifestyle, response, and goals.
How often will I inject? Do the shots hurt?
Most men do well with 2 injections per week using small needles and proper technique. Most report minimal discomfort after the first couple of tries.
What if I don’t feel better?
We adjust. Dose, frequency, delivery method, or supportive meds can all change. If something isn’t working, we fix it.
How do labs and follow-ups work?
Baseline labs → start plan → check-ins around weeks 6, 12, 24, then quarterly (typical). Messaging access to your provider is included.
Do you offer telehealth and discreet shipping?
Yes—licensed providers, telehealth visits, and discreet home delivery of meds and supplies where permitted.
How fast is shipping?
Once your prescription is finalized, turn around times for injectable testosterone is around 5-7 business days. Creams can be compounded and available in 24-48 hours, typically.
Can I travel with my medication?
Yes—keep meds in original packaging with your name. We can help plan refills around trips.
Required baseline labs include total testosterone, free testosterone, estradiol (E2), LH, FSH, complete metabolic panel (CMP), CBC with differential, lipid panel, and PSA for men over 40. Labs are ordered through Quest Diagnostics or Rupa Health and must be completed before your initial consultation.
